CMYA Medal to Dr Raymond Ho

CIOB presented a CMYA medal to recognize and to appreciate the effort of Dr Raymond Ho, Hon FCIOB rendered in the earthquake recovery construction project in Sichuan.  Prof Li Shirong praised Dr Ho’s above contribution in the CMYA 2009 ceremony on the evening of 27 October at Marriott Grosvenor hotel in London.  The CMYA medal was presented to Dr Ho by Prof Li in the evening of 19 November in Hong Kong. 

The 8.0-magnitude earthquake centred in Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province, China, occurred on 12 May 2008. The catastrophe claimed more than 69,000 lives.  Over 374,00 people were injured and about 30,000 missing.

Ir Dr Ho has been involved in rebuilding a water supply and drainage system for 1,873 households with a total of 6,026 persons in Tongkou Town, Beichuan, Sichuan. He is also pursuing two other reconstruction projects at present.
