What is Construction Risk? The definition probably depends on whether risk is being considered from the viewpoint of an Employer, Contractor or Subcontractor. However, whatever your viewpoint, Construction Risk will mean the possibility of events occurring, the effects of which will adversely affect your budget, whether that be budgeted cost, income or profit. How are risks allocated in contracts? To what extend should insurance play a part in your risk management programme? What are the legal aspects of insurance that you should be aware of? How should contracts be administered to avoid risk? How can subcontracting risks be avoided or reduced? How can we be more proactive in reducing design conflicts construction? How can be avoid or minimize litigation risk when disagreements arise? These are all questions that will be addressed in this seminar. This is a unique opportunity for all those who are involved in the construction Industry to listen to the views of experienced practitioners within the industry who are actively involved in advising and assisting their clients on different aspects of the management of Construction Risk and also to participate in what promises to be a very lively debate on the subject by raising what you consider to be important issues on this subject during the panel discussion at the end of the afternoon.
