The use of the NEC forms of contract continues to grow internationally and in particular Hong Kong where the Government and major private sector clients are trialing its use on a variety of different types of construction work. However, as with all contract forms there are potential problems that can be encountered in its application. This talk will focus on the key issues that users should be aware of when using the NEC3-ECC. The issues are practical problems that can prevent the contract being used successfully and are all taken from real life examples. The talk will address the issues and then look at potential solutions to resolve them.
