CIOB Benevolent Fund:  Supporting members through times of difficulty

What can the Benevolent Fund do for you?

The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Benevolent Fund offers support comprising practical advice and assistance or simply a 'listening ear', this service is available to members past and present, and to their families.  Above all, the CIOB Benevolent Fund represents a resource made possible by members, for members - worldwide.

The Trustees, all of whom are Fellows (FCIOB) of the Institute, maintain careful stewardship of the Fund, whilst seeking to extend the reach of the service to ensure that all members are aware that the Fund is there to help.

Many thousands of members have approached the Benevolent Fund over the years.  Whilst provision of grant assistance often eases immediate pressure, it is generally through time expended in offering advice and continuing support, that the Benevolent Fund can really help members facing difficulty.

The CIOB Benevolent Fund relies entirely upon the continued support of members in continuance of its work.  The Trustees take this opportunity to convey their grateful thanks to all those who have supported the CIOB Benevolent Fund with such generosity, both individually and through the network of Branches and Centres.

As CIOB members, this is your Benevolent Fund.  Do contact us if we can be of service at any time.

How you can help us

On the subscription renewal notice, you will see a 'suggested donation' has been added to the annual subscription fee.  It is not of course obligatory to make such donation, though many members are happy to do so.  The 'suggested donation' is simply a potential starting point, whereby members can elect to vary the sum according to individual circumstances and preference.

Thank you for your support.
